Welcome to India! The AWA, formerly known as American Women's
Association, in Delhi was founded in 1947. Our goals are to offer support and encourage friendship among fellow
Americans, to work with local charitable organizations, to extend a helping hand to newcomers arriving in Delhi, and to promote
a positive environment in which to learn about the Indian culture through a variety of educational and social events.
We welcome and
encourage all United States citizens or spouses of United States citizens living in India to become members of AWA.
