Summer Office Hours:
Please note: Until we get a new office secretary, our offices will ONLY be open from 9am - 1pm, Wednesday through Friday. As we're currently staffed by volunteers, please be sure to call ahead to ensure someone will be there!

Stay in the Know!
If you haven't already done so, please make sure you renew your AWA membership ASAP! Visit our membership page for further info!

Mela Vendors Needed!
If you know of any vendors who may be interested in participating in our Holiday Mela, now is the time to get them registered. Please send an email to Bonnie at awadelhi@yahoo.com.

Volunteers Needed to Coordinate Activities!
We are looking for volunteers to coordinate Lunchtime Bowling and Exploring Delhi with Kids. Members have expressed interest in these activities but we need volunteers.
  • Exploring Delhi with Kids. Want to have fun and explore Delhi with your kids and family? Organized, regular outings and activities suitable for families. Send your ideas in an email titled "Kids" to awadelhi@yahoo.com.
  • Lunchtime Bowling. Join an AWA bowling group at ACSA. No previous experience is necessary and you do not have to be a member of ACSA to bowl. Mondays 12-2. For information please send an email titled "Bowling" to awadelhi@yahoo.com.

  • Cook Like a Native!
The AWA office has a wonderful Indian cookbook - KHANSAMA'S KHAZANA - assembled by a group of American Women from our Outreach program for sale for 400 rps. It has a very practical glossary of Indian/American cooking terms and spices. The proceeds go to sponsor needy children at Mt. Carmal School in Anand Niketan. It makes a wonderful goodbye gift or gift to take home for friends. Please come by the office to purchase one (OR TWO) and see the letter our latest recipient of the donations has written to our committee-AND HER GRADES----Straight A's!

The Thrift Shop needs your donations!
The AWA operates a Thrift Shop where we sell items you no longer want and give the funds or items to several charities we support. Please call Tracy Child (9873412836) or Catherine Bali(9810041058) to schedule a drop off time for your donations. PLEASE NOTE-DUE TO NEW SECURITY RESTRICTIONS ITEMS CAN NO LONGER BE DROPPED OFF AT THE AWA OFFICE UNLESS A PRESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT IS MADE - WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
