The Delhi AWA - the "American Welcome Association" - was founded in 1947.

We strive to offer a soft place to land upon your arrival to Delhi. The AWA offers support and encourages friendship among fellow Americans, provides opportunities to work with local charitable organizations, and promotes a positive environment in which to learn about the Indian culture through a variety of educational and social events.

We welcome and encourage all United States citizens or spouses of United States citizens living in India to become members of AWA.

Happy New Year to everyone!

If I tell you one of my resolutions, will you tell me one of yours? I have not made a proper resolution for some time now, but I have resolved that 2012 will be about more time spent helping others. Whether that be giving my time to one of the various NGOs that the AWA supports, or assisting someone with a project, or even giving of my time to help others find their passion. What are your resolutions?
