AWA membership is open to all American citizens and spouses of American citizens.

As an AWA member, you will have access to a wide array of social & cultural activities, as well as volunteering and fund raising opportunities. Beyond our social & philanthropic activities, AWA is also the primary support network for Americans who have recently moved to New Delhi. We currently have over 200 members, many of whom have been living in India for several years. As such, they can provide invaluable guidance, insight and tips for those newly relocated.

Whether it is to make new friends, have something to do or to find answers, all of our members would agree that AWA has been an invaluable resource in their adjustment to life in New Delhi.

Please note that our calender year starts in May and ends in April of the following year.

• Annual membership (period of May 1st - April 30th) is Rs. 1,200.

Please note: If you join the organization mid-year, your membership will extend through the following year and your membership fee will include an additional Rs. 100 for each month remaining in the current year. For example: If you join in February, your total membership fee will be Rs. 1,500 and your membership will expire in 15 months.

Please print a copy of our membership form & bring it (or have it delivered) to the AWA office along with a copy of your passport (or your spouse's passport if he/she is the U.S. passport holder), 3 passport-size photographs and payment.

Kindly note that our offices tend to be exceptionally busy on Thursday and Friday mornings due to Domestic Staff Registry activities. As we would like to ensure all new members receive our undivided attention, we suggest bringing your membership application during non-DSR operating hours.
