›› AWA Thrift Shop

The AWA Thrift Shop is a revenue source for the Outreach Committee and is accessible to anyone with access to the compound. If you are an AWA member without Embassy Compound access and would like to visit the thrift shop, please contact the AWA office and we can arrange an escort (Fridays 12.30-3.30 only).

The Thrift Shop accepts all donations with the exception of perishables. The cash proceeds from the items sold are then donated to our Outreach progam.

Please consider donating the following:

• Any clean clothing in good repair (adult/children/infant), shoes, belts, ties/scarves, purses and backpacks
• Toys, games, coloring books, crayons, pens, pencils, scissors, paper, greeting cards, crafts supplies
• Household décor: vases, throw rugs, pillows, pictures
• Appliances, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, silverware, knives, linen, bedding, towels, aprons
• Cosmetics, toiletries, soaps, shampoo, lotion, perfume, jewelry, hair ornaments
• Old prescription glasses, plastic film canisters (used by clinics to fill prescriptions) or anything that might be of use
• AND empty bags for customer purchases, plastic hangers...

Donations are accepted at the AWA library, the AWA office or the CLO during their respective working hours. You may also call the office to arrange for pick up if necessary.
